I think we should talk about money more often. It’s not a taboo subject, it’s not dirty, it’s not gauche. Money is just energy, so it’s neutral. Until you put a spin on it. And you can choose the spin you put on it, so choose wisely!

I asked some of Facebook friends about the money beliefs that they have conquered or are working on now. Here are some:

“You have to work hard to get money” – Tara Newman (everyday inspiration to build a life you love)

Um, no you don’t. And if you believe this one, change it, quick! I was raised with this one too, and now I am choosing to believe something else. I choose to believe that getting money is easy and enjoyable and usually happens as a result of me doing stuff that brings me joy. Let me tell you, not everyone is comfortable with money being easy. I remember telling a friend that from now on I decide that making money is easy, and she said ‘But don’t you want to feel like you accomplished something, and really earned it?’ Well, yes, I do want to feel that, but earning money doesn’t have to be hard for me to feel that way. Thankfully.

“Not being able to RECEIVE. Lack of self-worth related to ancient family issues.” – Zoe Foster (whole-person alchemy)

I’m glad Zoe is busting through this one, because she is just launching this amazing wellbeing programme and needs to get ready to receive LOTS. Because she’s so awesome at what she does, and people can see that! Now, if you’re awesome at what you do and provide a valuable service, why push money away? Why believe that you’re not worth it? Repeat after me: I am open to receiving money. These little words can change so much.

Earning money means I’m taking it from someone else” – Cassie Howard (online biz strategies for stay-at-home moms)

This is SUCH a common one, and comes from a simple scarcity mindset. Do you really want to believe that there is a finite amount of money in the world? That would suck! Money is energy and there can never be a scarcity of that. So when you make more, it doesn’t take away from anyone else, they have the potential to have as much as they want, too.

Biggest one: it has to be hard, it has to take time. Miracles don’t happen overnight *spoiler alert: they actually do* – Fab Giovanetti (The Passion Junkie)

I absolutely, positively love this one! If you can choose what to believe, why not believe that miracles can happen overnight? How fun and amazing would that be?

And to finish off, a blog post by The Dame herself, in which she shares one of my favorite way of busting through money and all other blocks, EFT. Read it here.
