- These are the Terms which govern your use of the website located at joannahennon.com and under which you purchase products or services. By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.
- The website is operated by Joanna Hennon (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) of Derrydonnell More, Athenry, H65 T104, Galway, Ireland.
- We may change these Terms from time to time. Any changes will come into effect when the updated terms and conditions are posted to the website.
- These terms of use are governed by Irish law.
- We have the right to remove any posting you make on our site if, in our opinion, your post does not meet our standards.
- The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.
Liability
- We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions. The material contained within the courses on the website is provided without any guarantees or warranties as to its accuracy.
- Any arrangements made between you and any other person using, or named on, the website are at your sole risk and responsibility.
- We do not guarantee that any data, file or program available for download from or via the website, or from any website linked to our website, is free from virus or any other condition which might or could damage or interfere with data, hardware or software with which it might be used.
- For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms limits or restricts your ability to make a claim that may be available to you for our failure to comply with a guarantee under Irish Law.
Online courses, classes and workshops
I. Accessing your course, class or workshop
- Our digital courses are hosted on ThriveCart Learn.
- Upon purchasing a course that has already been recorded, you will create a unique username and login.
- If you purchase a course that is yet to be delivered, access details will be sent to the email address you provide at purchase.
- We will provide you with suitable materials, sufficient for your course.
- Our materials are fit for purpose, and are compatible with all mainstream internet browsers and with most computers. However, we are not responsible if any of our materials do not operate efficiently, or at all, because of incompatibility or local technical issues with your software, hardware, browsers, broadband, firewalls, antivirus or device settings.
- We may alter or cease the operation of the website at any time at our sole discretion, and the website may be unavailable from time to time, including for maintenance purposes.
- You are responsible for advising us of any change in your contact details.
- You must be aged 16 or over to use our services and you must provide truthful, accurate and complete information when registering with us.
II. Cancellation and refunds
- You are protected by the Consumer Rights Directive/2011/83/EU (CRD). You may request a full refund of your course, class or workshop fee within 14 days of your purchase. This right automatically ends if you begin downloading or streaming the content you paid for, or if the course, class or workshop has already taken place.
- To request a refund under the CRD, send an email to joanna@joannahennon.com. We will refund you within 10 working days of receiving your request, however we are not responsible for any fees that your bank, or payment gateway deducts from the payment.
Readings and individual sessions
I. Booking
- Your order is accepted when you receive confirmation by email, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this and will not charge you for the reading or session.
- Readings & sessions must be paid for in full, and in advance, before any related work can start. It is at our discretion as to whether a discount may be given on a service or product, or whether a payment plan can be made available.
- Any advice given during our sessions is meant for guidance or entertainment only and you are responsible for determining whether such information or advice applies to your individual circumstances. We offer no warranty as to the accuracy of any information given.
II. Cancellation and refunds
- Individual sessions: we will aim to accommodate your needs and reschedule if you are unable to attend the booked time slot. However, we ask you to give us 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel your session booking. If you cancel within 48 hours before your session, you may only be refunded 50% of the full amount, as we will have already done the preparation for the session by then.
- Readings: we will only refund your fee if work on your reading has not started at the time you send us your request.
Social media policy
- We reserve the right to screen, review, filter, edit, refuse or remove without notice any content posted on any Joanna Hennon social media platform at our own discretion including:
- comments which we deem to be spam, offensive, inappropriate or obscene language or content (including images, videos or links);
- threatening, abusive or insulting statements;
- posts infringing intellectual property rights;
- posts in breach of privacy or confidentiality agreements. - You must be 16 years or older to sign up to and post on our social media platforms. This is for both legal safety reasons and to honour and respect parental boundaries.
Intellectual Property Rights
- We are the owner of all intellectual property rights in our website, and in the material published on them. These works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
- You may not use any part of the content on our site for commercial purposes without permission from us. We assume no responsibility for the content of websites linked on our site.
- You may link to our web pages, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You may not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
- If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code or password then please treat this information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
- We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if, in our reasonable opinion, you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
- No part of our courses or sessions may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying, recording, or using other electronic or mechanical methods, without our prior written permission, except in the case of brief quotations embodied in critical reviews and certain other non-commercial uses permitted by copyright law.
