are-oracle-cards-a-toyI’ve been talking about using oracle cards for business a lot lately, and one of the responses I hear is ‘Oh but I feel silly pulling a card for business!’.

So there are loads of people out there who are ok with pulling a card as a general message for the day or for the month, but that’s where it stops.

Why is this? Why not use your cards to get specific guidance for your business? Why stop at the fluffy and general?

If we go with the ‘feeling silly’ answer, it seems to be because there is an underlying belief that oracle cards are a toy, not a business tool.

Which means that there is an underlying belief that doing the foundation and planning work in your business should be ‘serious work’ and not light and fun.

And also means that there is an underlying belief that spiritual guidance like what you get from oracle cards is by nature fluffy and general, which makes it a totally useless tool for your business.

NOT TRUE!

I have been using oracle cards for years, and they have helped me with some very specific business things:

  • I learned that my ideal client is strong and confident, not needy and overwhelmed. Before this, I’d been targeting people who WERE overwhelmed instead of people who just FELT overwhelmed in this moment. Let me tell you that this made a HUGE difference to my business, because I finally got to work with people who were ready and able to DO something about their overwhelm instead of always attracting the perpetually lost and afraid. (yes, this insight came from just one oracle card)

  • I decided which idea of the many, many, MANY in my head I should go with next. I wanted to launch a business course, 121 packages, a membership site, write an ebook, teach people to channel, have a podcast, and probably several hundred other things (this was a couple of years now and I don’t remember exactly). I used my cards and pulled something to do with community – and launched a membership program that I still run today.

  • I pull an oracle card every single time I’m stuck for something to blog about, periscope about, talk to my community about, etc. My cards are a huge source of inspiration for my content, and they’re much more fun than staring at the screen trying to decide what to write about today.

Now, how is any of this silly? Is it any sillier than tapping, talking to Spirit Guides, visualising your success as if it already happened?

Silly is all in your head, it’s fear of being judged, of being seen as ‘not serious’ in the business world. It’s also fear of moving forward, fear of success.

Because, hey, what if you did all these things that feel a bit silly to you? What if they worked? What then? What would this mean about you?

Ask yourself these questions, and allow the answers to come. And then if you’re drawn to oracle cards, for example, then USE them. And use them not only in an ‘ooh this toy is kind of fun’ but also to get insight about specific aspects of your business.

Don’t use feeling silly as an excuse, lots of things that are super powerful feel silly at the beginning. If you’re still reading this then I’m sure that you do some of them – maybe you use EFT, you have a kinesiologist, you’ve received reiki, you’ve written a letter to yourself or to money or to your ideal client, you got a reading, etc. And I’ll bet that some of those things have become standard practice for you now, not silly at all.

Why not allow yourself and your business even MORE growth and success, in a fun way?

Leave me a comment below and tell me: do you or will you use oracle cards for you business? What would you love them to help you with next?

Love,
