Affirmations are a great way of shifting limiting beliefs. This is because beliefs live in the subconscious mind, and one of the ways in which the subconscious mind learns is through repetition. The beliefs you currently have about money, for example, are a result of years and years of repeating them in your head, noticing evidence of them in the world, and affirming that this means they're truth.
If you think that some of your current money beliefs aren't aligned with where you want to be in terms of wealth and prosperity, then this blog post will help: I'm sharing a list of affirmations for wealth and prosperity that I myself have used over the years (really! I literally went through some old journals to find these!)
I should add that I used to be always broke and bad with money, and I'm now financially secure and living my version of a wealthy life. Am I claiming that this transformation was due to saying a few affirmations? Absolutely not! But I do think that focusing on what I wanted to believe about money and wealth instead of settling for what was already in my subconscious helped.
I'll write a full post about how to use affirmations and how they work soon, but in the meantime the most important things to know are the following:
- choose the affirmation(s) that speak to you most - you want to feel good saying them, and they need to feel possible. If they're too far from your current reality your system will reject them (basically, watch for any 'yeah, right' reactions in your mind)
- feel free to play with the wording so that it delights you - remember that these affirmations need to work for YOU.
- repeat your affirmations as often as you can - with feeling. So not to just check the task off your list. WITH FEELING. As if you believe them - it's ok to pretend/act at first. Extra points for saying them out loud when reality is showing you the absolute opposite. Believe me, reality will catch up, but it may need some time!
- use your affirmation(s) as journal prompts - this will help you get into the feeling of them being true and stay there for longer.
- make it a practice to find evidence of your affirmation(s) being true - even if it's a bit of a stretch.
That's all you need to know to get started, so here they are.

Great insights everyone! I truly believe that a positive affirmation can slowly change the way we think about money and opportunities. When we start repeating empowering thoughts like “I am attracting abundance and financial growth”, our mindset becomes more confident and open to better financial habits. Pairing a positive affirmation with practical steps like budgeting and goal setting can make a powerful difference.
Making money comes easily to me
Joanna – love your point about affirmations shifting limiting beliefs! While reflecting on money affirmations alone won’t lead to prosperity, they’re crucial if you want to have a positive mindset.
Other habits that should be done alongside integrating money affirmations into one’s life include setting and sticking to a budget, creating financial goals, charging what you’re worth as a business owner and switching jobs if you are being paid below your market value.
What’s your favorite money affirmation and why? Personally, mine is “I am financially successful” as it is a great positive quote in general.
– Jani, Frugal Fun Finance
Hi Jani! Yes, practical steps are also important! My favorite money affirmation is ‘I am good with money’. I spent so many years believing the opposite, changing it around made a huge difference in my life!
Every time you spend money say you are investing it in whatever you are spending it on. This helps with your view on the energy and changes the energy behind spending it.
Great idea! I used to be in the habit of feeling grateful whenever spending money, and that helped it flow back to me too!
Wealth and prosperity to me means much more than the figures on a balance sheet. However, I don’t discount the need to have a positive relationship with money because it is a very important tool. I love these affirmations.
I agree that wealth and prosperity is more than money. But money is definitely a part!
I’ve always had the mindset that I don’t need money to be rich. I have so much more. However I have always been frugal and love to save money. I can pull a few thoughts from each of your affirmation lists above.
It’s true that being rich isn’t only about money – but being good with money is important too.
There are a lot of great ideas here. I need to alter my mindset because at the moment I’m always broke.
Start by not affirming that you’re always broke… maybe affirm that things are getting better?
wealth and prosperity come to me easily, abundance follow of blessings to receive
Love these!
I like the affirmation – I am grateful for all the money that comes into my life. Great post to get you thinking. Thank you, Cindy Rae
Gratitude is such an important part of a wealthy mindset – or of anything really.
