At the start of every month, I make a list of things that I'd like to do that month. Not like a to-do list, although I have those too. More like a seasonal bucket list, a list of things that will help me make the most out of the energies, the holidays, the themes. In this blog post, I'm sharing with you some November bucket list ideas, so that you can make your own list.

First a reminder: you don't need to do ALL of the things I mention, these  are just things that occurred to me when I thought about moving through November. Take whatever strikes your fancy, and add your own. Your list should be a reflection of what matters to you, what brings you joy, what lights you up, what makes life enjoyable.

November's energetic themes

I won't go into too much detail here because I have a whole separate blog post about Samhain, the Celtic festival that Halloween is based, which starts the month of November.

November is of of course the month of American Thanksgiving and for any of us who are connected to US culture, this carries the themes of abundance and gratitude. These days, when so much of our popular culture is US based, it's hard to stay away from these themes, they're everywhere, even if you're not American. I personally love to think of this season as one of celebrating friendships and feeling grateful for the people in my life. I keep meaning to host a Friendsgiving dinner, which is why that's on my list below!

According to my spirit team, Avalon, November (and through to Yule on December 21) is a good time for wishes and dreams. Essentially, the energy is all about soul alignment, so that when the times comes to set goals for the new year, we're clear on what we truly desire.

28 November bucket list ideas

  1. Celebrate Samhain
  2. Host a Friends-Giving dinner
  3. Put up your Christmas tree - no? too early? just me? I like to put mine up on or right after American Thanksgiving, so that I’m ready for December
  4. Make something with pumpkin - baked pumpkin pie oatmeal, pumpkin muffins, thai pumpkin soup?
  5. Make something with apples - cinnamon baked apples?
  6. Make a simmer pot
  7.  Make a MAGICKAL simmer pot 😉
  8. Journal about what you really, really want. What are your biggest dreams? The ones you haven't admitted to anyone? The ones that you've had since you were a child?
  9. Read a witchy or magical book
  10. Buy some christmas presents - I like to start picking things up in November, when I see something someone I know would like
  11. Get yourself an advent calendar - mine is a stationery one this year, from Daphne's Diary.
  12. Buy something from a small business - they (we!) need your support at Christmas!
  13. Celebrate  the new moon in Scorpio on November 13
  14. Treat yourself to something on Black Friday (I usually have a budget because I know I'll be tempted by many somethings!)

  22. Make a gratitude jar - each day, write down something you're grateful for, and read them all at the end of the month
  23. Donate to a charity - where I live there's always a shoebox campaign, where you fill a shoebox with non-perishable goods and it makes a Christmas present for someone who needs it
  24. Do a jigsaw puzzle - you can't get cozier than that!
  25. Try a new craft, maybe knitting or crocheting?
  26.  Use oracle or tarot cards to connect with your intuition
  27. Or try one of these other ways
  28. Do one thing your future self will be thankful for - maybe something that will make December easier or more enjoyable for you?

That's all I have on my list - anything you'd add?

Love,
