When I started out using oracle cards, I would pull one every morning to get a message for the day. The advice was always pretty general - something like ‘have more fun’, or ‘trust the process’ or ‘love yourself’. I would think ‘hmmm, that’s nice’ and then move on with my day and forget about it completely.

Then I started getting a lot more demanding in terms of spiritual messages. I had zero interest in fluffy love and trust messages, what I needed was business advice!

What did I do? I started asking better questions, for a start. 

If you keep asking for a general message, the best you can get is a general message.

Instead, I got clear on what I needed/wanted to know to move further towards business success, and started using my oracle cards to answer THOSE questions.

The following list gives you some ideas for how to use your oracle cards, specifically in your business. Your cards don’t have to be this separate thing that you do once in a while or when you remember. They are a great tool to stay connected to your soul and to your guides, and incorporating their wisdom regularly will add an extra dimension to your business - literally. 😉

Here are 7 great ways to use oracle cards in your business

2. To identify what's standing in the way of your success

We can’t always see what’s standing in our way from the logical side… There are times when we feel like we’re doing everything right, ticking all the boxes, and we’re not seeing the results we want. Is it something in the subconscious? Is it something from a past life? How to see beneath all the layers that we are and see what’s REALLY going on? Oracle cards can help! Ask them what’s standing in the way, pull a card, and journal on what comes up. Once you know, you can clear it and move on.

3. To identify how you can create more money in your business

How could we talk about oracle cards supporting your business success without a specific mention of money, right? 🙂

You can ask your cards anything, of course, including about money. Obviously, the cards can’t tell you how much you’re going to make or whether you’re going to make more than last month, for example. This is partly because they can’t really answer yes/no questions and partly because your future isn’t an absolute that is set in stone. What you do today, the choices you’re making now, this is what’s creating your future. Which is why it’s useful to ask about HOW you can create more money in your business, basing your question on the assumption that of course you WILL, as long you focus on the right things. And the cards can you point you towards what those right things are.

4. To find out more about your ideal client

The usual ideal client exercises out there also bore me to tears - and honestly, I don’t care about the answers to those standard questions about education level, employment situation and number of kids. I also find it virtually impossible to guess what kinds of books my ideal client reads and what else they do as a hobby - and to me this assumes that people are two-dimensional, super-predictable beings, and I don’t think they are. 

What’s more interesting is my ideal client’s dreams, fears and needs… and I have found this information much more useful for creating content and services that are actually needed out there. 5. To understand your next step or focus

An oracle card can be a really interesting answer to the question ‘what should I focus on next’. They have given me guidance like to focus on my body, to work on releasing limiting beliefs and to add more joy. These kinds of answers are meant to be incorporated into your ‘normal’ life - and they don’t mean that you have to give up on your more specific goals. You can aim for a sold-out workshop AND add more joy - in fact, why not do both and focus on making sure that selling spots on your workshop feels joyful to you?

6. To set an intention or get a deeper message for a client call

I often use my cards to set an intention for a client call, or to get a deeper message during a session. Again, like with all the previous examples, an oracle card will give you the opportunity to go deeper, to go beyond what the logical mind can see and process. The cards give you access to deeper wisdom, to a higher perspective. This brings a different dimension to a coaching call, it gives that little bit of something extra. They may show you something that the client can’t quite articulate or what the client’s higher self is trying to communicate. Try it and see what it does for you and your work!

7. As a journal prompt for personal development

And finally, probably the most obvious use of oracle cards in your business, as a journal prompt that will help you explore your inner world and shift what needs to be shifted, so that you create more of what you want to see. Simply focus on your deck, pull a card and journal on the theme it brings up… what does it make you think of? Are there any fears coming up? What beliefs do you hold about the topic on the card? Are these the beliefs that Super Successful You has too? Or do you need to clear and transform them?

Oracle cards are definitely a great way to be more soulsmart in your business - and there are lots more ways to add a bit of magic to your work too!
